Cyclohexanone-2 plant overhaul is finished

Cyclohexanone-2 plant overhaul took a month.
The reason for such long stop was implementation of the part of the development investment program of JSC "Grodno Azot" - "Reconstruction of the unit for reception of rectified cyclohexanone- ". There was no anything similar done in caprolactam plants before it.
Except reconstruction of the unit for reception of rectified cyclohexanone, in the course of overhaul was made technical survey and diagnosing of vessels, audit, cleaning, repair of the equipment, platforms on its service and armatures, selective audit of technological pipelines etc.
The ultimate goal - quality improvement of rectified cyclohexanone is reached.

Results of June in Grodno Azot

Commodity output in June 2012 in the comparable prices (including PTC "Khimvolokno") was 629891 million rbl. that makes 101,4 % in comparison with June-2011 (from the beginning of the year - 3883659 million rbl. or 104,3 %).
Release of mineral fertilizers in recalculation on 100 % nitrogen has made in June 66180 tons (109,7 %, from the beginning of the year - 391050 tons or 105,2 %). Urea production was 85913 tons (103,2 %, from the beginning of the year - 495139 tons or 105,0 %), ammonium sulphate - 33920 tons (100,4 %, from the beginning of the year - 198850 tons or 105,1 %), UAN 30 % - 64522 tons (131,0 %, from the beginning of the year - 400506 tons or 105,2 %), ammonia 89100 tons (99,8 %, from the beginning of the year - 532635 tons or 101,0 %), sulfuric acid - 28003 tons (104,4 %, from the beginning of the year - 141736 tons or 101,7 %). Production of methanol for technical use in June 2012 was 7214 tons (114,5 %, from the beginning of the year - 39916 tons or 112,5 %), caprolactam - 11318,5 tons (98,8 %, from the beginning of the year - 66848,70 tons or 102,5 %). Release of chemical fibers and threads was 3211 tons (119,8 %, from the beginning of the year - 22722 tons or 104,6 %), cord fabric - 4486 thousand linear meters (185,3 %, from the beginning of the year - 26270 thousand linear meters or 107,8 %), primary polyamide - 5310 tons (254,9 %, from the beginning of the year - 26582 tons or 292,5 %), filled polyamide - 885 tons (107,5 %, from the beginning of the year - 5484 tons or 96,1 %). Output of consumer goods in established prices for a month by joint-stock company was let out for the sum of 5116 million rbl. (82,1 %, from the beginning of the year - 27545 million rbl. or 72,1 %).

Half-year results are summed up of Grodno Azot

Growth rate of the industrial production for January-June, 2012 to the similar period of 2011 in the comparable prices has made 104, 3 %.
Output of mineral fertilizers in recalculation for 100%t nitrogen was 391 050 tons what is more than for the corresponding period of 2011 for 19223 tons or for 5, 2 %.
Following the results of work for 1 half-year there was a following financial result: profitability of realized production was 8, 1 % (in January-June of the last year there were 14,3 %), profit from realization was 306666 million rbl. (in January-June, 2011 - 247359 million rbl.), net profit - 183419 million rbl. (in January-June, 2011 - 240250 million rbl.)
Sales profitability was 6, 7 % at stipulated by the business plan for 2012 1,3 % (for the corresponding period of last year the given index was 11,4 %).
Material consumption growth level for 1st half-year was 7, 1 % (under the business plan for January-December - 11, 9 %).
Export sales of goods for 1 half-year were 77, 5 % at stipulated by the business plan for the year - 55, 7 %.
Scope of investments into a fixed capital for January-June of current year was 478253 million rbl. Growth rate in the comparable prices on an index-deflator by January-June, 2011 was 111, 7 %.
Energy saving index for January-June of current year was minus 6, 4 % (the business plan provides minus 6, 0 %).
Labor productivity growth rate (on manufacture in established prices) for January-June, 2012
was 235, 3 % at 142, 9 % stipulated by the business plan.

Quality management system

Today for the enterprise, Certificate ISO 9001 is one of the main factors of consumer's trust, a necessary condition of participation in competitions and cooperation with foreign and domestic partners.

JSC " Grodno Azot " is one of the first large chemical enterprises to certify system of quality management of basic production in conformity with the International standard ISO 9001.

Currently, next certificates are actual at the enterprise:

- Certificate UA 226725 was given to our enterprise by " Burea Veritas Sertification " in November 2011 and is valid till November 27, 2014.
- Certificate of conformity N BY/112 05.01.0071237 was given to our enterprise by the State committee on standardization of the Republic of Belarus in February 2008 and is valid till February 19,2014.

The technological structure of Grodno Azot

Principal kinds of production manufactured by JSC "Grodno Azot" are liquid ammonia for technical use, nitrogen based fertilizers (urea, urea-ammonium nitrate mixture - UAN, ammonium sulphate, ammonia water) and caprolactam. Besides, there are the productions of methanol, sulphuric acid and oleum, bio diesel fuel, liquid carbon dioxide and various consumer goods. The technological structure of JSC "Grodno Azot" includes following productions: · ammonia (plants Ammonia-3, Ammonia-4); · methanol; · urea (plants Urea-2, Urea-3, Urea-4); · nitric acid and liquid nitrogen based fertilizers (UAN); · caprolactam (plants Caprolactam-1 and Caprolactam-2); · ammonium sulphate; · sulphuric acid and oleum; · bio diesel fuel; · carbon dioxide; · hydroxylamin sulphate crystalline (HAS); · consumer goods. The enterprise has the developed infrastructure of the non-production departments which are carrying out repair and maintenance service of all kinds of the equipment used, manufacturing of spare parts, rendering of services to the foreign organisations and also to workers of association and townsmen. Achievements of Grodno Azot

Stability of work, the guaranteed production quality, fulfilment of all reasonable demands of consumers, excellent service - all it promoted creation of worthy image of JSC "Grodno Azot" in the world markets of mineral fertilizers and caprolactam. Acknowledgement to that is the delivery to the enterprise a number of high government awards and international prizes. In 1970, as the repeated winner of the competition between the industrial enterprises, Grodno production association "Azot" has received for eternal storage the Red Banner of the Central Committee of the CPSU and Council of Ministers of the USSR, and in 1981 year it was awarded the Order of People's Friendship. The enterprise is the winner of awards of Grodno regional executive committee (2002 and 2005), Government of the Republic of Belarus (2006) for achievements in the field of quality and in 2002 JSC "Grodno Azot" was awarded the diploma of Belarus Chamber of commerce and industry as the prize-winner of republican competition " The Best exporter of year ". By the results of activities in 2007 "Azot" became the winner of town competition among the industrial enterprises with the delivery of the Red Banner and was recognised as the best exporter of production among enterprises of concern "Belneftekhim". Among the international awards received by "Azot" there are: " A prize of Fund of assistance to development of eastern countries "Gold globe" (1994) " Grand prix of the International program "Partnership for progress" (1997) " Prizes "For the best trade mark" (2000) " "Erstmaker-2000" in a nomination "For dynamics and progress of economic development" and others.
